Oilersnation Betway Bets of the Day — Hammer this plus-money play

Our first bet of the day will be taking Tyler Johnson to take o2.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at +135.

We’re starting the week off with some heat. Johnson has been off to a a strong start this year with the Chicago Blackhawks and is right off a two-goal game against the Montreal Canadiens. He’s cashed this prop in two of three games so far this year, and is coming off a 2022-23 season that saw him bounce back offensively.

Looking at Daily Faceoff’s DFS charts, the Blackhawks’ second line — one featuring Johnson on the wing — has the best matchup of any line in that game. That should lead to Johnson getting some looks at the net, and a chance to cash this plus-money prop.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Filip Chytil to take o2.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -105.

Dating back to late last season, Chytil’s shot volume has drastically increased, and that’s part of the reason I like this spot tonight. The other is that in keeping with the Daily Faceoff charts, Chytil and his linemates on the Rangers’ second line have the best matchup of the game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Chytil’s cashed this prop once already this year, so let’s see if he can do it again tonight.
