Our first bet of the day will be taking Nathan MacKinnon to take over 4.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -143. We’ll also be taking Nathan MacKinnon to score a goal with those odds sitting at an even +100.

MacKinnon leads the Avalanche in shots on goal this season with 107 in 20 games, an average of 5.35 per game. He’s hit his shot prop in four of his last five games and in 12 of 20 on the season.

Despite that, MacKinnon has just six goals on the year and is shooting 5.6 percent — well below his career average of 9.9 percent. MacKinnon himself should have around four and a half more goals this season, and I like him to score tonight.

The Avs take on the Buffalo Sabres, and this is a spot I think this is a matchup we can take advantage of. Both these teams are all about the offence with some defensive deficiencies, so I’d expect them to trade chances all night long.

Our third bet of the day will be taking Trevor Moore to take over 2.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -143.

Moore leads the Kings in shots on goal this year firing 77 in 25 games, an average of 3.08 per game. He’s always been a shooter, and this year is no different. This prop has cashed in two of his last five games, and in 15 of 25 games on the year.

The Kings take on the Arizona Coyotes tonight, a team that bleeds defensively allowing 35.81 shots per hour in their last five games — the worst rate in the league.
