The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our lone bet of the day will be taking u6.5 goals between the Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues. These odds sit at -125.
Now look — they say life’s too short to bet the under, but sometimes you have to jump on one every once in a while. Tonight, that’s what we’re doing.
There are no teams stronger to the under this entire season than the Winnipeg Jets. In their last 10 games, they’re 8-1-1 to it and on the year, they’re a staggering 33-14-4 returning +17.35u — a full 6.6u better than any other team. The Blues are nearly polar opposites as the second-best team to the over going 30-15-5 returning the second most units in the league, +13.9.
The Jets have stayed hot to the under as of late, but the Blues are 4-4-2 in their last 10. While the Jets can pile up some offence, I have a hard time seeing St. Louis break through the brick wall that is Connor Hellebuyck.
To top it all off, 68 percent of public money is flowing to the over in this matchup, and I like to fade the public in games like this.
THE BETS OF THE DAY ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY
Record: 97-79 (+11.95u)
Last 30: 22-25 (-7.08u)
Last 7: 2-6 (-4.15u)
Yesterday (Friday): 1-0 (+.8u)
