The Edmonton Oilers did not make it easy last night, but they managed to come away from game two with the tie the series up at one.
Much like game one, the Oilers came out and dominated the first period. Derek Ryan and Leon Draisaitl each got the crowd rocking, making it 2-0 after the first period. It was not just offensively that the Oilers dominated but defensively, too, not allowing the LA Kings to have a shot until the last five minutes of the first. Edmonton had a stranglehold on the game still in the second period until Phillip Danault finally beat Stuart Skinner. Shortly after, the Oilers put themselves on the penalty kill killing their momentum. The game was tied heading into the second intermission after Gabe Vilardi scored his first of the playoffs. The third period savour for the Oilers, who scored his first of the playoffs, and Evander Kane finished it off with an empty net goal.
Tyler Yaremchuk will break everything down from game two, along with former NHLer Shawn Belle and Liam Horrobin. If you have something, you would like to contribute to the conversation, join the guys over on the Oilersnation YouTubce channel and leave your comments in the live chat.
