Oilersnation Everyday: The Stanley Cup Playoffs Begin!

The Edmonton Oilers road to win their sixth Stanley Cup begins tonight when they host the Los Angeles Kings. It is the third consecutive season that the Oilers and Kings have met in round one of the playoffs; however, on both occasions Edmonton has come away victorious.

Later on in the show, former NHLer and Edmonton Oiler, Jason Demers joins Tyler, Liam and Jay. Demers will give his thoughts ahead of game one tonight along with his experiences of going into the playoff with expectations to win. Additionally, they will ask him about how he believes the team should lineup on night one of the players.

Following Demers’ appearance, Dan Greenspan from NHL.com will give us the Kings side of the story. It was a dramatic season finale for the Kings narrowly beating the Chicago Blackhawks to set up a matchup against Edmonton. Dan will give us his thoughts on what the Kings need to do to have success in round one, how the goaltending duo of David Rittich and Cam Talbot can hold up against the Oilers attack and also who the biggest x-factor is.
