Oilersnation Open Recap

Last Thursday we had the pleasure of hosting our second Annual Oilersnation Golf Tournament at the Cougar Creek Golf Resort. We tried to up our game from the Inaugural tournament last year, and I think we did. Overall we ended up raising a ton of money for the Jason Gregor Foundation, and everyone had a great day of golf.
Our biggest worry of the day was the weather. Fortunately, the golf gods were looking out for us and held off the rain until the last hole of the day. Although we could have done without the wind, it still made for a great day of golf. The tournament had your standard hole in one, longest drive, and long putt competitions, but we also added a 19th hole putting challenge where teams competed against each other for an autographed Wayne Gretzky framed photo.
We had some big winners at the end of the day. Some of the raffle prizes included game tickets, an RC Zamboni Cooler, signed memorabilia, a Crash Hotel staycation, and more. After the golfing finished up, we all gathered in the clubhouse for a warm meal and some stand-up comedy from Kent Tilley. My favourite part of the tournament was probably all of the vendors we had at each hole. If you weren’t grabbing a burger from the YEG Burger hole, you were shotgunning beers at the Pint hole, golfing with a hockey stick at the Cruz FM/Hot 107 hole, or tasting some wine at the Sherbrooke Liquor hole.
Below are a few pics snapped at the golf tournament. If you want to see more check out the Facebook album!
