Oilersnation Radio: Defending Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and an Oilers vs. Seattle Kraken preview

Another Friday has landed on your calendar and that means the boys are back with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help make sense of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today’s podcast, we recapped Tuesday’s win over the Flames, previewed tonight’s matchup against the Seattle Kraken, defending Connor McDavid, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, we got started with a look at the past 12 months and specifically our favourite moments from the last calendar year. Whether it was something from the playoff run, an amazing goal from Connor McDavid, or the rollercoaster ride that was 2022, the boys all had a bunch of fun answers for what stood out to them. From there, we looked back at the Battle of Alberta finale from Tuesday night and how you have to love the way Stuart Skinner stole a game for the Oilers that they may not have deserved to win. We also looked at the Mackenzie Weegar knee on Connor McDavid and how there was no response from the Oilers after what was, in my opinion, a dirty hit on the league’s best player. From there, we previewed tonight’s matchup against the Seattle Kraken and how the Oilers are looking to be without Leon Draisaitl for tonight’s game after a little birdie told me that he did not make the trip. Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to make sense of the last few days.
