Oilersnation Radio Episode 101 – The Last 48 Hours and Oilers Offseason Talk

Happy Friday Nation Citizens and welcome to a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio! The guys went into a lot of different topics surrounding the Oilers offseason this week on the podcast but before they did that, they had a discussion about what’s happened in the last 48 hours in the world of sports. It’s a historic time and there have been plenty of athletes and people in sports who have made brave stands against social injustice. We wanted to start the podcast by talking about some of these issues and why we feel it’s important for the sports world to have a voice when it comes to social issues.

From there, we jumped into a fresh Sherwood Ford Giant Question of the week which was centred around the current goaltending market. We discussed potential fits and why it would be better for the Oilers to go the trade route rather than just signing a free agent. We also touched on some interesting stories from around the league.

To wrap things up, we started our look at the Oiler’s pending RFA’s and gave our thoughts on what the team should do with Andreas Athanasiou. We ended this week’s episode by giving out our YEG Burger Hot & Cold performers of the week!
