Oilersnation Radio Episode 196 – Bonus Episode: WE’RE GOING TO ROUND TWO!

THE OILERS WON!!! We are so fired up about what we saw last night that we decided to record an emergency episode today to recap a wild night at Rogers Place. For some, all hope was lost after the Oilers went down 3-2 in the series but for us, hope will never die and the boys came through BIG time on Saturday night to complete the comeback and eliminate the LA Kings.

Connor McDavid was on another level, Mike Smith came through in the clutch, and the Oilers had a handful of depth players put up really solid performances in the final game of the series. Leon Draisaitl also found a way to play over 22 minutes in the game despite basically being on one leg. We talked about all of that on today’s episode. We also hit on just how crazy the crowd was inside Rogers Place.

Now, the Oilers wait to see who they will face in the second round. It will either be the Calgary Flames or the Dallas Stars so we debated which team we’d rather see them go up against. We also wrapped up the show with a first-round recap edition of the Twig and Barry’s Hot and Cold performers!
