The Oilers are winners of six games in a row and the Pacific Division could still be in sight, which means we’ve got plenty to talk about on the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we’re talking about the Oilers’ bounce-back effort in Game 2, what needs to happen in LA, and a whole lot more.
To kick off the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio, we got started with a look at the series heading back to LA and specifically what the Oilers need to do to come away from Los Angeles with a pair of road wins. Whether it’s staying out of the box or playing to the whistle or avoiding costly mistakes, the Oilers have some details in their game that they can clean up and if they do then this series will be theirs. Changing gears, we looked at the officiating during the Oilers vs. Kings and how it’s kinda weird that the Kings have been given 10 power play opportunities whereas the Oilers have only earned four. From there, we looked at some of the changes Jay Woodcroft made to his lineups last night and whether or not we like having Kane and RNH flipped on the left side. One guy that isn’t having trouble putting points on the board is Leon Draisaitl, who has been the best player in this series by a country mile. Lastly, we wrapped up the Thursday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to make sense of everything that’s going on around in.
