Oilersnation Radio: Sam Gagner is back, Kassian’s PTO in Anaheim, and Devin Shore lands in Seattle

There was some actual Oilers news to talk about on this week’s episode of Oilersnation Radio.
Kicking off the podcast, we got started with a random conversation about woodpeckers attacking Jay’s house. Why? It’s a fair question given that woodpeckers have nothing to do with the Edmonton Oilers. Getting the podcast back on track, we got into the Oilers talk with a delicious debate about which PTO — Sam Gagner or Brandon Sutter — is most likely to turn their tryout into a contract. Will either of them even make it out of camp? Checking in on some former friends, we looked at the Zack Kassian PTO in Anaheim and Devin Shore landing a one-year with the Seattle Kraken. Seeing former Oilers land in other markets led us to discuss whether or not the bottom portion of our roster will have enough firepower to relieve the pressure on McDavid and Draisaitl to perform. What is a fair season for Nuge? What will Evander Kane do now that he’s healthy? How will Connor Brown fare in his first year in Edmonton? Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Ask the Idiots, and Hot and Cold performers.
