The NHL Draft is behind us, free agency kicks off tomorrow, and the Yamo trade came through, which means we’ve got plenty to talk about on this week’s episode of Oilersnation Radio.
To kick off the Friday episode of ONR, we started with a chat about the Kailer Yamamoto and Klim Kostin trade that happened yesterday and whether it was the right move to attach Kostin to Yamamoto to make the deal go through. While a lot of us were already expecting Yamo to get traded, most Oilers fans would probably say that they were hopeful that Kostin would be back for another season. Sticking with that trade, we looked at the Kailer Yamamoto buyout and wondered out loud whether or not he would be willing to re-sign with the team that traded him. Would Yamo back at $1 million make sense? Lots of space on the right side. Looking ahead at free agency, we took a few swings at who the Oilers may be interested in tomorrow given the lack of cap space, but we tried to find diamonds in the rough anyway. Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Kennedy’s quote game, answered a few questions in Ask the Idiots, and Hot and Cold performers.
