Prospect Update: New Faces Abound

The Oilers signed two new players this week from DIII of the NCAA. Centreman, Colin Larkin and right-handed defencemen Logan Day were both signed to amateur try-out contracts. Larkin is the older brother of Dylan Larkin of the Detroit Red Wings and the head start in the fastest skater competition and also signed a one-year ELC with the Oilers. Day is the first ever D man in the Commonwealth Coast Conference to have received the Player of the Year award. They will join the Condors on their slim playoff hope chance run.

In the AHL this week, we have two D men getting on the goal scorers sheet, with highlights courtesy of the Condors twitter. The Condors are licking their collective chops as a couple of the Oilers prospects junior hockey seasons will come to an end this week.

Also, down in the highlights you have to check out Rattie and LaLeggia looking like Draisaitl and McDavid out there in OT this past Saturday night.

The Wichita Thunder have shifted away from Starrett it would seem. In his place Nicola Riopel has been starting, and playing well. Riopel was traded for in-season by the Condors and then assigned (loaned) to the ECHL after Montoya made it so that LB could slide back into the AHL.

Our CHL prospects continue to light it up. I got to bold almost the entire list of the players.
