Real Life Podcast: Connor McDavid on the Canadian Walk of Fame, and recalling Jack Campbell
3 months ago
The Oilers found themselves on an extended break, which meant there was plenty of time for shenanigans on the Monday episode of the Real Life Podcast. On today’s show, the guys discussed McDavid at the Canada Walk of Fame, what’s coming with Shohei Ohtani, and the neverending Oilers break.
Kicking off the podcast, the show started with a look at Connor McDavid being named to the Canadian Walk of Fame. Before the guys could even dig into the event, the topic changed almost immediately after the guys found out that Tyler met Kris Knoblauch at the U of A this past weekend. Getting back to the Canada Walk of Fame, the guys basically threw out every Canadian celebrity name they could think of to see if they found their way onto the Walk of Fame or not. Even though most of the names the guys came up with were included, there were a handful not yet named to the Walk of Fame, and the omissions were unacceptable to say the least. Changing gears, Tyler wanted to give an Ohtani update after what was admittedly a “bad weekend.” Needless to say, a lot has changed over the last few days after varying MLB insiders have speculated that Ohtani has already made his decision and is leaving teams hopeful as a means of raking in more cash. Lastly, the fellas wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life with some Oilers talk, as the team is still in 29th place overall even after the four-game win streak.
