Real Life Podcast Episode 239 – Talking hockey, coaching, and Carter Savoie with Jeff Woywitka

Another Monday is upon us which means a brand new episode of the Real Life Podcast is all set and ready to get your week started! This week, the guys covered another listener survey, hangover problems, and welcomed former NHL defenceman and current assistant coach of the Sherwood Park Crusaders, Jeff Woywitka, to the show to talk about his career, the World Juniors, and Carter Savoie.

To kick off today’s podcast, the guys got started by recapping their weekend since all four guys showed up for the recording hungover. Seeing as it’s December and truly the season to enjoy a few cocktails from time to time, it was hilarious to hear the boys struggle through this week’s podcast. From there, they got back to business with a brand new listener profile, which was quickly derailed since the boys couldn’t seem to focus on much of anything in the first half of the podcast. Thankfully, the guys were thrilled to welcome former NHL defender, Jeff Woywitka, to talk about life on the farm, his NHL career, the World Junior Championships, and what’s it been like to make the jump to coaching. From his time on the farm in Vermillion to climbing hockey’s ranks on his way to the NHL to coaching Carter Savoie in Sherwood Park, Woywitka’s journey through hockey was pretty incredible to listen to and an interview that you’ll definitely want to hear.
