Real Life Podcast Episode 302 – Free Agency Recap, Zach Hyman, and an Olympic Breakdown

Thursday means that the workweek is winding down and that the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode of the show to get you set for the weekend and break down the week that was. In today’s episode, the guys covered day one of free agency, Ethan Bear being traded to Carolina, Tyson Barrie, and a whole lot more.

To kicking things off, the guys got started with a chat about the NHL free agency that kicked off yesterday and whether or not the Oilers are actually better today than they were in free agency. How much does the Zach Hyman signing help? What about Warren Foegele? Is the defence going to be good enough to keep the puck out of the net? From there, the guys looked at player jerseys numbers, and wondered specifically about which number Hyman will wear as the guys all believe that his jersey will be a best-seller around these parts. Changing gears, the guys talked a little football as Aaron Rogers made some news yesterday after his open and honest assessment of where he’s at with the Green Bay Packers. Part of Rogers’ problem was that he wasn’t involved in some player personnel conversations and the guys wondered whether or not the stars should be involved. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a little bit of Olympic talk and another pointless discussion about Slurpees.
