Another Thursday has landed on your calendar, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with another hour of nonsense and (maybe) some Oilers talk to wrap up the week. On today’s show, the guys looked at Chalmers’ approach to dinner, Winston Churchill’s daily routine, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off the second episode of Real Life of the week, the podcast got started with a look back at 1999 as our friends at Oodle Noodle revealed that the Slim Shady LP came out on this day 24 years ago. And as you’ll hear, this simple fact completely derailed the podcast before it even had a chance to get going. After the music talk was out of the way, Chalmers talked about the physical he got this morning before the show, and the way he described the events had the room in stitches. Getting back to the Oilers, the guys looked at the schedule the boys have coming and what they need to do over that time to earn a passing grade. The guys also talked about the trade deadline, and how the Oilers need to find a way to make a move to push this team to the next level. But with cap space limited and Ken Holland’s general unwillingness to take big swings, it seems like we’re in line for another boring deadline around here and that would be a big problem for fans of this franchise.
