A fresh week is underway and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you ease back into work life. On today’s show, the guys looked back at the Christmas break, navigating the timeless period between Christmas and New Year, and a whole lot more.
To kick off today’s podcast, Tyler and Baggedmilk kicked off the podcast with a look back on the last two weeks and how this is a time of year when no day ever seems to matter. Whether it was drinking for most of the day or doing absolutely nothing at all, the boys talked about what they got up to during the break and how it’s both exciting and difficult to get yourself going after a lengthy break. From there, the guys looked at the Heritage Classic that’s coming up in October now that it’s been announced that the Calgary Flames would be the opponent. Now that we know an outdoor version of the Battle of Alberta coming, will the team do something interesting for their outdoor jersey or will they go with something we know and love? Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with a look back on Saturday’s loss to Winnipeg and how it was frustrating to see the boys get goalie’d once again, even if it did come at the hands of a Vezina-winning goaltender. Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with a look at some of the rumours that are circling the Oilers right now after word came out that the team may be interested in Chicago defenceman, Jake McCabe. Would it make sense to trade for a guy with a $4 million price tag and a couple of years left on his term? Should we be fishing for UFAs instead?
