Another Thursday has landed on your calendar, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with another hour of nonsense and (maybe) some Oilers talk to wrap up your week. On today’s show, the guys talked about the first two games against the Kings, feeling playoff stresses again, and a whole lot more.
To kick off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a look at last night’s win in Game 2 and how it was the only result the Oilers could have or they would have been in real trouble. The wild thing about that win is that the Oilers kicked off the night with a near perfect period before mistakes led to the Kings fighting their way back into a tie game. Thankfully, some magic by Klim Kostin early in the third period restored the Oilers’ lead that they would not give up this time, evening up the series in what was a must-win affair for Edmonton. From there, Chalmers told what can only be described as a ridiculous story about his night at Rogers Place and how many rye and cokes he had before the evening was over. Changing gears, Tyler told the story about his ridiculous utility bill from last month after the city of St. Albert charged him $34,000 for water usage. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a Chalmers origin story, some plans for LA, and any other nonsense that they could think about.
