Real Life Podcast: The Oilers are moving on to Vegas and Tyler has poop shoes

A new week has landed and the Oilers punched their ticket to the second round, which meant there was a whole lot to talk about on the Monday episode of the Real Life podcast.

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a chat about the Moss Pit from Saturday night and how we all hope that the good times don’t get ruined by a few idiots that are causing mayhem. Leaving that nonsense alone, the guys dove into Saturday’s game and how it was a massive win for the Oilers because of the way the game played out over 60 minutes. The guys also talked about Stuart Skinner’s broken stick and how it was incredible to watch the Oilers bounce back from what could have been a devastating blow. For an Oilers team that is now on its second run past the first round, it’s been interesting to see the way the boys are able to lean on lessons learned from a year ago. Changing gears, the guys looked around the NHL as there were a couple of dragons were slayed by underdog teams that no one expected. With Boston and Colorado going down in round one, the second round opens up quite a bit, at least in theory. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life with a look ahead at the series against the Vegas Golden Knights and tried to figure out what to expect from this next round.
