Risky Business: Battle of Alberta Edition

I’m not going to lie, the first chapter of my adventures in sports betting did not go very well on Wednesday night, but I’m hopeful for better results tonight against Calgary. Dare to dream?

LAST GAME

As you will see, my bets from the season opener didn’t really go so well…
Player Prop:
Pretty self-explanatory. Today’s player prop that I’ve locked in is Leon Draisaitl over 1.5 points at +110.
Easy Money:
Easy money is the bet that I think is an absolute lock regardless of what happens. It’s the one where you already consider the winnings to be in your pocket, and for me, here on opening night, that bet is over 1.5 goals in the first period at -160.
Risky Business:
Risky Business is the bet I’m putting down that’s got great odds but maybe won’t be the most likely thing to happen. Put another way, I bet on Patrick Russell scoring a goal a few times last season and I would have filed that under the Risky Business tab. Today, I’m looking at Tyson Barrie to score at +450.
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Looking to chase the juice? Enter the Can’t Miss Parlay. Tonight, I’m bundling up a few different things together for a tasty little bet: I’ve got Toronto on Money Line, Winnipeg on ML, Edmonton on ML, and Colorado on ML for +485.

TONIGHT…

Player Prop:
Zach Hyman any time point at -130
Easy Money:
Over 1.5 total goals in the first period at -147
Risky Business:
Duncan Keith to score at +900
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Boston on ML, Vancouver on ML, and Edmonton on ML for +382
And there you have it. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I threw one unit down on each bet btw — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at for tonight’s game.
