Risky Business: Afternoon Delight

Risky Business is brought to you by NHL Odds site Betway!
Ever since I was a teenager in the late 90s, I’ve hated the Dallas Stars. The Oilers would battle and scratch their way into a playoff spot only to face off against the Stars in the first round, an annual event that usually resulted in us getting punted early. All these years later, I still carry a fiery hatred for the Stars for the way they ruined so many nights in my youth, and the only thing that can quiet the inferno is an Oilers win with a cheeky little prop bet win as the cherry on top. So what are we doing today? I’ve got a few ideas.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Stars:

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl any time goal scorer at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.25.

Easy Money:

Both teams score in the first period at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.25.

Risky Business:

Edmonton Oilers to win and Connor McDavid with 2+ points at +150. My $5 bet would return $12.50.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Colorado over Columbus on the ML, Washington over Arizona on the ML, and Connor McDavid to register a point at 2.14. My $5 bet would return $10.73.

Last Game

If I’m only going to hit one of my four bets on the night, I’m pretty pumped that it was the Risky Business wager that basically evened out my night. Way she goes sometimes.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +130.
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at -125.
  • Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid both to score at +300. ✅
  • Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid pick up a power play point at +115 ✅
  • Wild over the Kraken on the ML, Stars over the Coyotes on the ML, and Connor McDavid to register a point at +225.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Stars.
