If one win against the Winnipeg Jets is fun, then just imagine how much fun we’d be having if the Oilers can do it on back-to-back nights. Outside of a few costly errors in the third period, the boys were in complete control of that hockey game and it was spectacular to watch them handle their business as well as they did. In round two, however, I’m expecting the Jets to come back with a much strong effort and that has me feeling nervous about what to expect in the rematch. Let’s face it, no one likes getting blown out and that has me thinking that the Jets are probably going to hit the ice with a chip on their shoulders for the rematch. If the Oilers are going to sweep the weekend, they’ll need to come up with another strong showing because I have a feeling this game won’t be nearly as easy as what we saw last night.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Jets.
Leon Draisaitl over 2.5 shots at -143. My $5 bet would return $8.50.
Connor McDavid anytime goal scorer at -134. My $5 bet would return $8.75.
Oilers to win and Leon Draisaitl over 1.5 total points at +200. My $5 bet would return $15.00.
Can’t Miss Parlay:
Ottawa over Columbus on the money line, Toronto over Vancouver on the money line, and Nashville over Chicago on the money line at 2.96. My $5 bet would return $14.82.
RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY
How much fun was last night’s win? Not only did the Oilers run the show, but your boy came out ahead on the betting side as well. Does it get any better than that? Maybe if we get a repeat performance in round two.
- Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at 2.25. ✅
- Connor McDavid and Mark Scheifele both to register 1 point at 1.66. ✅
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at 3.25.
- Edmonton over Winnipeg on the money line and Carolina over Arizona on the puck line at 2.70. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Jets.
