As much as it’s a cliche to say it, the Edmonton Oilers need to win this hockey game. I know the Arizona Coyotes are scrapping their way through the final weeks of the season and pulling out big wins along the way, but these are two points that the Oilers need to have no matter what. I don’t care if they have to scrape together another ugly win as they did on Monday against the Sharks — Gord help the boys to dial it in a little bit defensively — but the point I’m getting at is that this has to be a win no matter how you slice it. If the Oilers play the way we know they can then they should be alright, but if they let the details slip as they have over the past two games then they could be in trouble.

If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Coyotes.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to register 2+ points at +120. My $5 bet would return $11.00.

Edmonton to win and Connor McDavid to register 2+ points at -163. My $5 bet would return $8.07.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +225. My $5 bet would return $16.25.

Edmonton over Arizona on the money line and Colorado over Pittsburgh on the money line at 1.98. My $5 bet would return $9.90.

No matter how you slice it, Saturday was fantastic. Not only did the Oilers win a game they maybe didn’t deserve, but we also celebrated 15 years of the website existing AND I won 3/4 bets on the day. Great success!
