Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
There are no gimmes in the NHL, and the Oilers learned that the hard way on Saturday morning as they fell to the league-worst Columbus Blue Jackets. Needless to say, spotting the other team a four-goal lead isn’t ideal under any circumstances, and even though it looked like a comeback was on the table, I wasn’t overly surprised that the Oilers ultimately lost. Going up against the Bruins, all that early garbage has to stop. If the Oilers give this opponent even a shred of free space they will get burned with the fires of Hades, and that simply cannot happen. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best, and there is no bigger test or measuring stick game for the Edmonton Oilers than having the Boston Bruins in town. Can they do it? I believe they can, but I sure won’t be betting too aggressively on it if you know what I mean.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Bruins:

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl over 2.5 shots at 1.61. My $5 bet would return $8.07.

Easy Money:

Over 64.5 total shots on goal at 1.80. My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and David Pastrnak to both register an assist at 2.62. My $5 bet would return $13.12.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Colorado over Vegas on the money line and Dallas over Vancouver on the money line at 2.38. My $5 bet would return $11.91.

TBH, I’m still annoyed that the Oilers lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second time this season. We’re talking about the worst team in the NHL, and losing the way they did was so frustrating that it took the rest of the weekend to recover.
  • Zach Hyman over 3.5 shots at 2.10. ✅
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at 1.85. ✅
  • Connor McDavid to score two or more goals at 5. ✅
  • Edmonton over Columbus on the money line, Boston over Vancouver on the money line, and Carolina over Anaheim on the money line at 2.39.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Bruins.
