Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I almost feel like I’m 10 years old and it’s Christmas morning at the Baggedmilk household as the Oilers will kick off their playoff run starting tonight at Rogers Place. Not only am I excited about the start of this run, but I’ll actually be at Rogers Place this evening and that has me fired up about what’s to come. That said, I’m also incredibly nervous in a way that only playoff-bound fanbases can understand because you never really know what to expect until the games actually get going. But if the boys can play up to their potential as they had down the stretch, I actually think that we’re in for a great night and kickoff to what we all hope will be a fantastic run.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Kings.

Player Prop:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +130. My $5 bet would return $11.50.

Easy Money:

Total shots over 63.5 at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +250. My $5 bet would return $17.50.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers to win, over 6.5 total goals, and Connor McDavid to register 2+ points at +250. My $5 bet would return $17.50.

Last Game

Thursday was fun, wasn’t it? Not only did the Oilers win a game they were expected to win, but they also put on a show for the hometown crowd in their last regular season game of the year. What’s not to like? I mean, it would have been cool if Evander Kane got one more shot on net for no particular reason at all, but outside of that, a fantastic evening was had by all.
  • Connor McDavid over 3.5 shots at -150. ✅
  • Total shots over 64.5 at -118.
  • Connor McDavid and Evander Kane both to register 4+ shots on net at +220.
  • Edmonton to beat San Jose on the money line, Dallas to beat St. Louis on the money line, and Tampa Bay to beat Detroit on the money line at 2.48. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Kings.
