Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I’m not going to lie, sitting at Rogers Place on Monday night and watching the Oilers blow a two-goal lead in the third period was incredibly painful. It was almost like you could feel the air getting sucked out of the building with each Kings goal that went up on the board. But as we know all too well, there’s nothing you can do about the past and the Oilers will have another opportunity to get in the win column tonight in Game 2. If they’re going to make that happen, however, they’ll need to play for the full 60 minutes rather than thinking the job was done after two periods. If they can do that then I think we’ll be talking about a series that’s all tied up, but if not, we’re going to have some major problems on our hands when the series heads back to LA.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Kings.

Player Prop:

Connor McDavid over 3.5 shots at -167. My $5 bet would return $8.07.

Easy Money:

Over 64.5 total shots at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +350. My $5 bet would return $22.50.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton to beat LA on the money line and Boston to beat Florida on the money line at 2.17. My $5 bet would return $10.87.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

I don’t know that it gets any worse than losing 3/4 of my bets and having the Oilers blow the win with only 16 seconds left on the clock, but that’s where we’re at after Game 1.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +130.
  • Total shots over 63.5 at -118. ✅
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +250.
  • Oilers to win, over 6.5 total goals, and Connor McDavid to register 2+ points at +250.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Kings.
