Risky Business: Looking for the lead

After the amazing comeback that the boys pulled off in Game 4, I’m hoping that they enter tonight’s contest at Rogers Place feeling good about their game, specifically, their ability to beat Joonas Korpisalo at 5v5. I’m hoping that having both Kane and Hyman popping clutch goals at the most important times of the game will be what the boys needed to start feeling good offensively. We all know that the power play is going to do its thing, but we desperately needed the Oilers to figure it out and even strength and I’m hopeful that some of that positive mojo rolls over into round five of this series. Either way, I will be doing my part to manifest the win because this is a massive opportunity for the Oilers to take their first lead of the series, and I do not want to see us heading back to LA down and facing elimination. They. Need. This. One.

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots at -110. My $5 bet would return $9.54.

Over 1.5 total power play goals at -125. My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +220. My $5 bet would return $16.00.

Edmonton over LA on the money line and Carolina over New York on the money line at 2.38. My $5 bet would return $11.91.

I can’t even begin to describe how much my stomach was doing backflips at Game 4 on Sunday night in Los Angeles. After the first period disaster, I was pretty down about where the Oilers were at but I refused to give up hope. What I didn’t expect, however, was that the boys would turn the table so quickly and knock out one of the greatest comebacks I’ve ever seen. And to win some money on top of that? You love to see it.
