Risky Business: Make it five in a row

After an up-and-down start to the season, the Oilers find themselves on a four-game winning streak and that has me feeling pretty good heading into tonight’s matchup against the Nashville Predators. Not only have the Oilers had some success against the Predators — Leon Draisaitl specifically owns the Preds like no other — but they’re starting to gel as a whole right now, and that’s a good spot to be in for any (bet with your heart) bettor.

If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Predators:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +110. My $5 bet would return $10.50.

Over 1.5 total first period goals at -167. My $5 bet would return $8.00.

Leon Draisaitl to score 2+ goals at +600. My $5 bet would return $35.00.

NYR over Philly on the ML, Tampa Bay over Ottawa on the ML, and Florida over Arizona on the ML at 2.99. My $5 bet would return $14.97.

I may not have hit on all of my bets against the Flamz but I did do enough to have a free night of bets. Most importantly, the boys beat Calgary in their own barn (read: dump) and that’s a priceless moment for any Oilers fans.
