Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
After winning everything in sight for a hot minute, the Oilers now find themselves with three losses in their last four games. Obviously, this is not the direction we need the boys to be moving, and it’s going to take a big effort against the New York Rangers if they’re going to right the ship. At 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, New York is rolling into town on a six-game winning streak and they’re going to be a huge hurdle for the Oilers to clear if they hope to avoid a third straight loss. This is a team that is on top of its game right now, and anything less than a complete effort will result in pant soiling sadness. Needless to say, we’re going to need everyone from the crease outward to play up to their potential, otherwise, we could be in for a very long night.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Rangers:

Player Prop:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Easy Money:

Total shots on goal over 64.5 at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.25.

Risky Business:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Mika Zibanejad both to register 3+ shots at +225. My $5 bet would return $16.25.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Ottawa over Chicago on the money line and LA over Anaheim on the money line at 1.96. My $5 bet would return $9.80.

That game sucked, didn’t it? It’s not that the Oilers played poorly but they couldn’t get the saves they needed at the moments they needed them in, and it was frustrating that the boys were unable to secure the second point as a result.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +105. ✅
  • Total shots on goal over 62.5 at +110. ✅
  • Oilers to win, over 6.5 total goals, and McDavid to score at +250.
  • Edmonton over Detroit on the money line, Toronto over Chicago on the money line, and Buffalo over Anaheim on the money line at 2.61.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Rangers.
