Risky Business: Lightning Crashes

We’ve got another big challenge on our hands as the Oilers get set to square off against the Tampa Bay Lightning, arguably their toughest matchup in the next little while. But seeing as the boys are rolling right now — winning four straight games in the way they have has been wonderful — I see no reason why this shouldn’t be a winnable game for this team. Not to mention, the Lightning are playing in their second game in as many days, which could provide even the smallest of edges against a very tough opponent. As for how I’ll be betting, I’ll be leaning on the conservative side even though my heart is as bullish as it gets.

If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Lightning:

Evander Kane over 3.5 shots at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.25.

Over 1.5 total power play goals at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.

Connor McDavid over 1.5 goals at +450. My $5 bet would return $27.50

Washington over Arizona on the money line and Florida over Montreal on the money line at 2.09. My $5 bet would return $10.44.

Got absolutely killed on my bets last game but I don’t even care because the Oilers came up with a big win. We’re in it for the long haul here, people.
