Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
After making it through the bye week and All-Star break, the Oilers have the good fortune of easing back into the schedule against four teams that are on the outside of the playoff picture. That’s not to say that there are any easy games in this league — Gord knows there are not — but what the boys do have is a strong opportunity to make up some ground in the Pacific Division. Provided they play up to their capabilities, I see no reason why the Oilers shouldn’t be able to handle Philly tonight even though they are running a mediocre 4-4-2 record over their last 10 games. To my betting eye, I see another opportunity to make some money, and I’m hopeful that the Oilers will also see the same thing. We be bettin’.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Flyers:

Player Prop:

Zach Hyman over 3.5 shots at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.25.

Easy Money:

Edmonton Oilers puck line (-1.5) at +120. My $5 bet would return $11.00.

Risky Business:

Leon Draisaitl to score 1+ goal and register 1+ assist at +250. My $5 bet would return $16.25.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton over Philly on the money line and Florida over San Jose on the money line at 2.32. My $5 bet would return $11.62.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

If you’re only going to hit 1/4 bets on the night then you’d better make it the Risky Business bet, which is exactly what happened on Tuesday against the Red Wings. Even though I was trying to be conservative, nothing seemed to go my way until RNH popped one on the power play to give me that sweet, sweet +350 payout.
  • Zach Hyman over 3.5 total shots at +115.
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at +110.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to score 1+ goal and 1+ assist at +350. ✅
  • Edmonton over Detroit on the money line and Tampa Bay over San Jose on the money line at 2.32.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Flyers.
