After dropping a wild game one to the Colorado Avalanche, the Edmonton Oilers will look to bounce back tonight in game two of the Western Conference Final. There was plenty of action in the series opener with 14 goals scored between the two sides. We also saw four different goaltenders take to the ice after the Oilers yanked @Mike Smith and @Darcy Kuemper left the game with an injury. Smith will be back in net for Edmonton while Kuemper will remain out for the Avs, meaning that Pavel Francouz will get the start for the Avalanche. We discussed whether or not that’s an advantage for the Oilers and more on The Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show!
Edmonton has been poor in every series-opening game during this playoff run but they are a perfect 2-0 in game twos, so there is reason to be optimistic tonight. Mike Smith has almost always bounced back well after a poor performance too. We went through some key lineup notes and gave our YEG Burger Keys to the Game today on the show.
As always, the show goes live at 1pm every game day. You can also find the show over on our YouTube Channel!
