Alright, this is not the type of article I wanted to be writing about at this time of year, but it’s the situation that has been thrust upon us and we’re going to make the best of it. The boys have officially been eliminated from playoff contention last night due to the Avs overtime loss. Since the playoff hopes are officially over, the next big event on the docket is the NHL Draft Lottery, and we’re going to party harder than ever!

As you may have heard, the Draft Lottery has been scheduled as its own show this year instead of being aired during the intermission of some random game. This gives us a great opportunity for the fans to come together and do what we do best, win draft lotteries. Jack Hughes is up for grabs in the number one spot and how funny would it be if we won again? #StriveForFive, amirite?

As we did for our recent Fan Therapy Party, we’ll be hosting the party out of the Canadian Brewhouse. You guys absolutely crushed the last party and we ended up filling the bar at 11 a.m. This time, we’ll be taking you guys to the Northside Brewhouse location at 12711 97 St NW. What we do best here at the Nation is turn the bad times into fun, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen at the Brewhouse next Tuesday, April 9th!

As you guessed, we’ll be hosting another night of Cooom’s Trivia during the draft lottery party as well! In case you haven’t been to one yet, our very own Cam Lewis will be hosting a hockey-themed trivia night. We’re going to be giving away some great prizes to all the winners so you’re going to want to show up for this one.
