The Nation Goes to Stony Plain

Oh you have a hot date planned tonight? Cancel it. The Nation is going to watch Ryan Smyth and the Stony Plain Eagles destroy the Bentley Generals in game four of the Provincial Final, and you’re invited to join us.
As I’m sure you’ve heard, Ryan Smyth joined the AAA club earlier this year and has been lighting it up. In case you’re wondering if Smytty still has the goods our favourite local legend has already registered 13 points in seven playoff games. With the provincial title on the line, my sources have told me that Smytty flew home specifically for this game. You’re welcome.
Coming into tonight’s game, the Eagles are currently down 2-1 in the series, and will be looking to tie up the series up on home ice. The current series is a combination of the Provincial Final between the Eagles and Bentley, as well as the other semi-final series for their Senior AAA league. To put it simply, there is a lot on the line.
The game starts at 8:00pm (with doors opening at 7:30pm) at the Glenn Hall arena in Stony Plain. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to watch Smytty play again, and to support the Eagles on their road to the championship. To make things even more ridiculous, we will be travelling in style tonight, and showing up to the arena in the Nation Limo, big thanks to Eternity Limousine!
It’s going to be a great time! If you are going to the game tonight, you will find us tearing it up in the Beer Gardens. Feel free to come say “hi” and we might even have some stickers for you. If you need tickets, they can be purchased at the door, or you can head over to their website to find information on getting advanced tickets.
