The Real Life Podcast Ep. 383 – Oilers wrap up the BOA, head to Colorado for the Western Conference Final

A new week is here and that means the gang from the Real Life Podcast is back with a brand new episode to help you get through what’s left of your Monday. On today’s podcast, the guys looked at the Oilers wrapping up the Battle of Alberta in five games, what to expect from the Colorado Avalanche, and a whole lot more.

To kick things off, the guys got the podcast started with a chat about the Battle of Alberta and how the Oilers managed to get through a series that no one expected them to win. Whether it was McDavid and Draisaitl’s brilliance or some timely goals from throughout the lineup, the Oilers got plenty of key performances at clutch times and the Flames simply could not match. From there, the boys played a song parody by Captain Feltan that recapped the BOA in a pretty fantastic way and we defy you to not have this song stuck in your head. The guys also walked through where they were and what they were doing when McDavid scored the OT winner, and as you’d expect, the stress was real. Looking ahead at the Western Conference Final, the guys spoke a little bit about how amazing it is to think about how the team making it this far after the wild road they worked through back in December and January.
