Fabulous game, McDavid made several astounding plays and his brilliant speed was on full display. Two plays, one a backcheck that required great speed and another a breakaway pass that required fabulous speed and hand-eye coordination, were definitely memorable. Leon Draisaitl was the best player on the ice, full stop.

This afternoon the Oilers cut nine players from their roster and the cuts are several days early compared to last season, when the cuts came after the SS game against Calgary. Source
