Another delay has come to the Edmonton Oilers 50/50 $14.3-million draw.
While it was supposed to happen at 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Oilers Foundation said delays in processing final refunds for the Aug. 7 raffle have postponed the draw for the winning ticket.
This, the foundation says, is to “ensure customers who followed the requisite refund process can ensure their tickets have been voided & refunds initiated.”
The organization has said the integrity of the raffle and draw is intact and these actions are to further ensure it’s done correctly.
“We are disappointed, but the integrity of the draw & consumer protection has always been our top priority.”
The foundation said another update is expected Thursday.
