I kicked off this week&#8217;s episode of BLTN by recapping my idea about how many days I could live on nothing but Costco hot dogs. I was talking about this at my house the other day and was surprised by the lack of support I was getting for what could end up as funny content. I also discussed the feedback I&#8217;ve received so far for the new Better Lait Than Never logo I made this past week, and much to my surprise, many folks loved it.
Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, I started the news with another tribute to Connor McDavid, who is now only a single point away from 1000 after a four-point performance <a href="https://publish.oilersnation.com/2024/11/13/edmonton-oilers-close-out-new-york-islanders-4-3-in-overtime-leon-draisaitl-scores-game-winner-and-connor-mcdavid-with-4-points/">last night against the Islanders</a>. When McDavid is at his best, there&#8217;s no one more entertaining to watch in this sport, and the Islanders got a dose of what that felt like on Tuesday night. I also looked ahead at Edmonton&#8217;s upcoming schedule, and with the Nashville Predators in town on Thursday, I&#8217;m banking on a big night from the Dynamic Duo.
Finally, I wrapped up this quick episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about getting older before wrapping up the show with another round of voicemails. The inbox was alive with beef this week, and that made me laugh and laugh. If you&#8217;ve been listening to the podcast for any length of time, you know that I love hip hop, and beef sells records.
