Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
First, after getting shutout, the Oilers will be looking to score. That can translate into a lot of shots and a lot of saves.
Our first bet then will be to take Sergei Bobrovsky to make over 24.5 saves, with odds at -135.
One reason I like this is that the number is significantly lower than the shot total they achieved in game one, and Bobrovsky’s play in the first game indicates he can make a save or two. He’s cashed this prop in seven of 18 games this post-season.
Our second bet of the day is for Evan Bouchard to get 1+ assists, with odds at -115.
Just because it didn’t happen last game does not mean it will happen again. The offence still runs out of the Oilers’ end through Bouchard so I will never think this this can’t hit. He’s cashed this prop in 12 of 19 games in these playoffs.
Our third bet of the day will be on Evander Kane to get over 1.5 shots on goal, with odds at -160.
He didn’t get any in Game 6 against the Stars or Game 1 against the Panthers when he was hurt and limited. He’s had his reset game, and with the focus being on shooting the puck for the whole team — after the shutout for sure — I like him being the guy to get it. With only two shots, it can be done. He’s cashed this prop in 11 of 19 playoff games this year.
