This morning, the @Edmonton Oilers announced via their social media that the team has activated @Oscar Klefbom from the Injured Reserve while also assigning @William Lagesson back to the Bakersfield Condors.
The Oilers will get a big boost to their defensive group tonight as they welcome Oscar Klefbom back into the lineup after missing the last three weeks with a shoulder injury. Despite missing the last nine games, Klefbom will immediately assume a key role along the blue line for an Edmonton squad that’s battling for playoff positioning in an incredibly tight Pacific Division.
Through 59 games played so far this season, Klefbom has amassed five goals and 28 assists while firing 151 shots on net and averaging a career-high 25:36 in time on ice. Those totals lead all defenders and will no doubt be a nice boost as the 6’2′ Swede plays big minutes in all situations.
