Another round of roster cuts came Sunday afternoon.
The Edmonton Oilers placed both Seth Griffith and Cooper Marody on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the Bakersfield Condors.
The club also assigned three others to the Condors in defencemen Filip Berglund and Philip Broberg and goaltender Ilya Konovalov.
There’s a less than zero chance that Marody clears waivers and if he were to be claimed, it would be a significant loss to the Condors. Marody has been heavily relied upon for the American League club.
In Broberg and Konovalov, both are players who had strong camps with the Oilers and will get a chance to play tons of minutes with the Condors.
After this set of moves, the OIlers now have 29 players remaining at camp: four goaltenders, nine defencemen and 16 forwards.
