Nygard will be our six to eight weeks at least according to Tippett. Also Jamie’s Neal skated today for first time. He told me his legs felt pretty good. Sounds like an ankle issue so I suspect they will be cautious with his return timeline. Sprains can be re-aggravated easily.

Edmonton Oilers F Joakim Nygard will be out six-to-eight weeks after receiving surgery on a broken hand.
The Swedish forward was injured on Jan. 29 when he blocked a shot against the @Calgary Flames.
Nygard took a shot off the hand with less than a minute left in the first period in that game and did not return to the game. According to the Edmonton Journal’s Jim Matheson, he reportedly had surgery on the hand on Jan. 31.
