One of the Oilers top defensive prospects Phillip Broberg did his best Bobby Orr impersonation scoring a diving goal in an SHL game today.
Broberg, who is playing for Skelleftea AIK, put up an absolute beauty of a goal to open their scoring against IF Bjorkloven.
A point shot was fired from the point and a juicy rebound had popped out to a pinching Broberg. Flying in from the right-hand side towards the net, Broberg grabbed the puck off his backhand, went to the forehand and slid it past the Bjorkloven netminder.
In turn, Broberg looked just like Bobby Orr as he flew over the goalie and a nearby defenceman.
It was his first point of the season in the clubs fifth game. Not a bad move for the 2019 8th overall draft pick.
You can check out the goal in gif form down below.
