Edmonton Oilers sign Cooper Marody to one-year contract extension

The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Cooper Marody to a one-year contract extension, the club announced Saturday.
The deal pays Marody, 24, an AAV of $750,000 and is a two-way contract. He appeared in 39 games last year with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors where he scored 21 goals and 36 points.
He led the club in goals while finishing tied for the team lead in points. While only playing in six NHL games, Marody has been a key part of the Condors over his time there.
In 130 AHL games, he’s scored 46 goals and 120 points.
Marody is entering his fifth year in the Oilers organization after being acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a 2019 3rd round pick.
