@Edmonton Oilers fans hoping to get a glance at their favorite club will now have a chance to do so as the club is set to host an open practice at West Edmonton Mall.
The Oilers will take to the Ice Palace in the mall between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27.
It’ll be a great chance for fans to check out the club in the general admission, standing-room-only open practice. And after practice, the club will host an autograph session at various locations throughout the mall from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A limit of one autograph per person, per player is in place, the mall said. For those looking to get a @Connor McDavid, or @Leon Draisaitl autograph, you might need to be ready to wait a while.
The mall said that due to anticipated demand, the first 400 fans in line at each booth will be guaranteed access to their tables. Nobody will be able to leave for an extended period and return, and lines will be regulated — so no spot savers allowed.
McDavid will only be signing personalized custom Upper Deck photos that will be provided at the table.
The practice will come at the end of the Oilers all-star break and will be two days before a highly anticipated Battle of Alberta against the @Calgary Flames. It’ll be the first game back in the lineup for @Zack Kassian after serving a two-game suspension for a Saturday night incident that saw him jump Flames forward @Matthew Tkachuk.
