As the Oilers quest for offence continues, it’s no surprise that there are people out there looking for answers. Over at TSN, Jay and Dan were back at it with another helpful tip for finding a winger for Connor McDavid.
Now, before I get to the video I will warn you that this really doesn’t have anything to do with anything. Actually, this video is really only good for wasting some company time and I think that’s something we can all get behind. Quite frankly, this tough start to the year has us all a little on edge and I think we could all use a little levity in our Oilers lives. Being a fan of the blue and orange can be tough at times and laughing at our misfortune is the only remedy for what ails us.
Whether you’re smashing the panic button or keeping your cool until things settle down around here, we can all use a break from the stresses of Oilers fandom. The team still isn’t winning (but playing better!) and that means that we’re turning on each other in ways that had all but disappeared last season. Frankly, if we’re going to ride this thing out then we may as well have a laugh while we’re at it.

With this video fresh in mind, I can’t help but wonder what kind of dating profile Chiarelli would use to find a winger on his GM Connections page if that was actually a real thing? Here’s my guess:
“Looking for a scoring winger with size, aged 20-27. Must have excellent grit chart credentials even more so than actually scoring ability. If you’re cheap enough, I will consider trading one of our best players to your team as payment for your services. If interested, have your GM send me a lowball offer because there’s a decent chance that I will take it. Snacks will be provided.”
