One of the biggest Edmonton Oilers fans around is set to be on one of the best TV shows of all time.
Noted Oilers fan Kevin Smith will be on a new episode of The Simpsons set to air Sunday night. Smith will play himself, but it’s not yet known what role he will have in the episode.
The movie star known for his role in Clerks and Bob in Jay and Silent Bob recorded his part back in late January.
The episode, called “Highway to Well” will air this Sunday night.
Here’s the synopsis of the episode:
“When Maggie goes to pre-school, Marge decides to get a job to pass the time and ends up working at an upscale weed dispensary. Then, Homer decides to open his own dispensary that mimics a sketchy drug deal, putting their two businesses at odds.”
I, for one, am super excited to see the episode and how Smith plays into it. This isn’t the first time someone associated with the Oilers made it on The Simpsons.
Whatever Smith’s role is in the episode, we do know he’ll be alongside Homer and Marge Simpsons in thanks to a teaser from the Edmonton Oilers twitter account.
The one and only Wayne Gretzky voiced himself in the 10th episode of Season 28 in 2016. They even gave him his infamous jersey tuck, too.
