@Edmonton Oilers F @Leon Draisaitl continues to make waves across the NHL and has been named the first star of the week.
Rightly so, as without @Connor McDavid he’s been on an absolute tear. He led the league in scoring this week going 3-7—10 in four games that led Edmonton to a 3-1 record.
Draisaitl opened his week with a one-goal, three-assist performance in a 5-3 win over the Blackhawks on Feb. 11, and had one assist in a 3-1 loss to the Lightning on the 13th.
Then he closed out the week with his league-leading 28th and 29th multi-point games of the season. Against the @Florida Panthers Saturday, he scored one goal and an assist before a one-goal, two-assist performance against the @Carolina Hurricanes Sunday.
He holds a 13-point lead in the Art Ross Trophy race with 95 points in 59 games this year and is the fastest player to 95 points since @Sidney Crosby in 2006-07 when he did it in 56 games.
