Merry Christmas!

It’s Christmas morning, we just finished unwrapping presents, and just I wanted to jump on the site for a minute and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas from all of us here at Oilersnation. No matter what you’re up to today or where you are in the world, I hope that you’re enjoying the day as best you possibly can with the people that matter most to you.
No matter what’s going down on this frosty Christmas morning, I hope everyone reading this gets the chance to spend the day doing whatever it is that makes you happiest, and that includes telling me off in the comments section if you really want. Needless to say, the past few years have been so incredibly strange but being able to talk about the Oilers despite all of their foibles has always felt normal and I’m very grateful that we get to do that every day. Yeah, we argue about contracts and line combinations and who needs to get traded or acquired, and it’s very common to wonder what the hell is going on in the comments section, but no matter what’s going on in the world, the site continues to grow because of the incredible community that participates with us. All of you incredible Nation citizens are the straws that stir the drink around here and I wanted to make sure to say it again this morning. Every single one of you rules to the highest degree and we very much appreciate you.
Now, with that sweet sweet sappiness out of the way, please excuse me while I get back to killing my bottle of Baileys before spending the rest of the day watching Elf and Die Hard because it is absolutely a Christmas movie. Have a wonderful day off, everybody! I hope that everyone is able to enjoy a break from real life and that your day off is spent exactly as you want it to be. Merry Christmas, everyone. Thank you for everything.
